French bistro meets Mediterranean sunshine. Amazing spot with a creative menu located in Pike and Rose. Excellent lighting with beautiful indoor and outdoor seating options. We came on a Friday night without a reservation and it was fully booked. Luckily we snagged the last two seats at the bar without a wait at all. The scallops were fresh and the flavors were surprising (in a good way). Chicken kebab was flavorful and the presentation was rather dramatic in my opinion. My friend had the French onion soup and rigatoni bolognese which were also delicious. Our only regret was the large portion sizes such that we had no room left at the end to try their desserts. Perfect for a summer catch up dinner. Affordable garage parking available (first two hours free).
Food has a unique favor. Many unique cocktail sections. Beautiful presentation, food and drinks have nice garnish. Beautiful inside the restaurant, good for photos (photogenic).
We ordered the prawns and Brussel sprouts for appetizers and that was a perfect way to start off! The curry sauce with the prawns was perfect. I ordered the crispy trout and it wasn't particularly good. The fish wasn't as crispy and I actually bit into some bones so you have to be careful if you order that. They cut the fish in half and left the head on and the whole time I was staring at the fish eyes. I rather have it as a fillet with skin on. The creamy sauce around the fish didn't really go well with the fish. I'm not a huge fan of the dish. My husband ordered the salmon and asked for medium rare but they cooked it well. He ate it and didn't want to complain. We ordered roasted cauliflower for the table and that was really delicious. My friends enjoyed their dish. Overall it was a nice spot and decently priced! Their out door seating is really cute. I would absolutely return but won't order the crispy trout again.
Julii is hands down one of the best restaurants in Maryland! I've been a few times and the service and food are always impeccable. On this visit, I went for brunch and started with the blossom mimosa which was delicious. I had the breakfast burger which came with wedges and it was a 10/10. The ambiance is perfect for a date as it's a super romantic and very intimate restaurant. Pro tip definitely make a reservation because it is a small restaurant.
Recently visited for Brunch on a weekend with a friend. Reservations were made. The place stayed busy. We were seated right away. I ordered the Breakfast Burger. Tried to get it well done (not burned), but it seems that wasn't an option per our server, so I ended up getting it cooked medium well. No worries. Per the menu, Breakfast Burger, is served with fried egg, muenster cheese, Benton's bacon, buttermilk dressing on a brioche with wedge fries. I love how the burger was plated - toppings to the side, so I can put them the way I want on the burger. Cooked perfectly. The wedge fries were good too - I had to ask for some ketchup on the side (it doesn't come with the meal). For brunch cocktail I ordered the Espresso Martini made with Titos vodka, Kahula and house made mocha - loved it. My friend got the Mezze Breakfast which included smoke salmon, labneh, stuffed grape leaves, heirloom tomato, pickles, 6 minute egg and koulouri bread. They enjoyed their meal as well but wished they had more of the smoked salmon. We were going to have dessert, but the meals made us full, so we passed. The only negative I would say is that our server was also the bartender, so there were times we were waiting for a while, however, it won't stop me from coming here though. Visited May 2024
Such a cute place to have brunch and link up with friends or a date! The server I had was very attentive and anything we needed he was right there which is relieving because a lot of servers aren't like that. The food was delicious. Those breakfast wedges were crispy and seasoned. Tasted like checker's fries but in a wedge form. I ordered the eggs in a hole and the eggs were cooked to perfection and I love truffle so that was best accompaniment for the dish. I do wish that the bread/bagel that had it in had some kind of sauce with it but other than that, I left full, satisfied, and wanting to come back to try their dinner!
I came here to had a dinner with my boyfriend for first time , we went to Melina before and we loved it , so we were excited to try this , our server Jim was really nice , very knowledgeable with the menu and he gave us a really good recommendations, the drinks were the best , my favorite was the espresso martini , we couldn't do dessert bc we were full :( , was a really good experience
It's a great dining experience in which the dishes are elevated and finely crafted. It's not fully fine dining yet but they are encroaching in that territory. We set outside in the bubbles which was quite fun but often times we would be forgotten--this wasn't really that much of an issue though. Service was extremely friendly and professional which helped set the tone very well. Scallop crudo: Get! Just an utterly delightful and bright dish. The scallops are so creamy and buttery that the only thing wrong with this dish is that you wish there was more! Burrata and Beets: Get! The richness and creaminess of the cheese pairs so well with the light and freshness of the beets that its a match made in heaven. I always need to get this dish when I see it on the menu and this place does it very well. Crispy Trout: Get A more hearty dish with a nicely crispy trout, this is also something you shouldn't sleep on either. Profiteroles: Get Beautifully decadent, go ahead and indulge!
Tried this restaurant in a recommendation last time I was in N. Bethesda. Enjoyed a nice bourbon old fashion while at the bar and decked to have dinner. I do enjoy a nice spicy Rigatoni. I was not disappointed. Really enjoyed my dish and glass of Pinot Noir. I like it really spicy so I added some chili flakes. I'll try again $$$
